Ed is a Principal and Partner at Sajecki Planning Inc. In addition to his work at Sajecki Planning, Ed is a Senior Advisor at Strategy Corporation. He has expertise in strategic and tactical planning, policy and land use planning, development planning, and building construction. Prior to Co-Founding Sajecki Planning with David Sajecki in 2018, Ed was the Commissioner of Planning and Building for the City of Mississauga, where he provided executive leadership and direction for strategic planning, priority setting, and management of the Department. Ed has served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Planning & Development, with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, as General Manager of Development and Infrastructure for the City of Burlington, and as Chief Executive Officer of the Burlington Economic Development Corporation. Ed is a past Commissioner of Planning for the former Cities of Etobicoke and York; served as Acting and Interim Chief Planner for the Town of Caledon; and was the General Manager of Planning and Development (Eastern Canada) for CN Real Estate. Ed is a Registered Professional Planner, a Member of both the Canadian Institute of Planners and Ontario Professional Planners Institute, a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, and a Professional Land Economist. He is a Member of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada’s Domestic and International Committee, and a past Member of the Urban Land Institute’s Toronto District Council and the Canadian Urban Institute’s Board of Directors.
